Survivors are Fran Krieger, wife of Burton Krieger, Wyomissing, PA, Ilise Krieger of Brookline, MA and Stephanie Krieger Epstein, wife of Michael Epstein, Miami, FL Clara is also survived by her great granddaughter Olivia Epstein, Miami, FL and many nieces and nephews.

Her husband Phillip M. Seymour predeceased her in 1986. Born in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Luba and Reuben Portnoff.
Along with her parents, Clara grew up the only girl of a family with four brothers on Whitmore Lake, MI. Together they ran a restaurant where Clara learned to cook and entertained guests playing the piano.
Clara was a graduate of Ann Arbor High School, and later the local business school. She then became the secretary to the Dean of the University of Michigan Dental School. After marrying Phil, they moved to Washington, D.C. where Clara became a civilian secretary for the United States Government.
Clara and Phil together established Endicott-Seymour of Ann Arbor, a wholesale manufacturing business producing laboratory apparatus and display fixtures for china and glass dinnerware. She continued to work in the business for over thirty years.
While living in Ann Arbor, Clara was a member of Beth Israel Synagogue. She held the positions of Secretary of Beth Israel Sisterhood and secretary of Ann Arbor Hadassah. Clara was one of the founding members of the Ann Arbor chapter of the Women's American Organization for Rehabilitation Therapy (ORT) and sang in the Best Israel Synagogue choir. Upon her husband's death, Clara moved to Reading, PA to be close to family. Clara was an active member of the Reading Jewish Federation Friendship Circle, where she joyfully took on the job of secretary, as well as a member of Kesher Zion Synagogue and the Kesher Zion Sisterhood. Clara was always available to help others.
Clara was an avid swimmer and maj player. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing the piano and the organ. When family and friends would stop in from out of town, she always was known for having a freezer full of their favorite foods and bake goods, ready to defrost and cook up a feast, on a moments notice. She was even featured in the Ann Arbor News with a full page story regarding her excellent cooking and baking.
Clara touched the lives of many, and will be missed by all. We wish to thank all the caregivers who helped make Clara's life more comfortable.
