FUNERAL DETAILS
Dr. Gary SoleDr. Gary Sole, 72, of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and Delray Beach, Flori, died on 25 November 2013. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Wednesday, 27 November 2013 at 1:00 PM . The family of Dr. Gary Sole will be gathering through the evening of Monday, December 02 at the residence, 3973 Nearbrook Dr., Bloomfield Hills MI 48302. The phone number is 248-644-1355. Religious Services will be conducted at 7:00 Wednesday evening, at 5:00 Thursday evening and 7:00 Sunday and Monday evenings. Family members include: Beloved husband of Carol Sole; Cherished father of Marc (Pamela) Sole and Jay (Meryl) Sole; Loving grandfather of Annabelle Sole, Lucy Sole and Carly Sole; Brother of Dr. Michael (Grace) Sole. Gary Sole M.D. of Bloomfield Hills, Mi. and Delray Beach, Fl. died November 25, 2013 after a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer. He died as he wished, at home, holding hands with Carol, his beloved wife of 46 years and surrounded by his adoring sons Marc and Jay. He loved nothing more than his wife, children, daughters-in-law Pamela and Meryl, and grandchildren, Annabelle, Lucy and Carly Sole. Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1941, he was a proud graduate of Erasmus Hall High School before emigrating to Michigan to attend Michigan State University from which he graduated in 1963. After graduating from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1967 and serving his country in the U.S. Public Health Service, he entered private practice in Lapeer, Michigan. He never stopped learning his craft so as his patients had the best medical care. He was a leader in the medical community in Lapeer for 35 years and was chosen by his peers to serve as chief of staff of Lapeer County General Hospital before retiring in 2009. He was a role model to his family, many friends, patients and others for his life with honor, integrity, generosity and above all modesty.
