Donald Alexander The Funeral was held at A PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICE on Sunday, 21 July 2024. Rabbi Harold Loss officiated. Donald C. Alexander, 88, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024. He is survived by his four children: David Alexander, Deborah (Dr. Robert) Ernst, Alaine Alexander, Gail (Dr. Jason) Weiss; and 11 grandchildren: Alexis (Matthew Roberts), Matthew and Jason Ernst; Jordan and Andrew (Julianna) Kluge; Eleanor, Daniella, Jonah and Seth Weiss; Loving sister of Anita Kay; many cousins, lifelong friends, and neighbors. Don was the beloved husband of the late Marian Alexander nee Levine; dear son of the late Dolores nee Goodman and Harvey Alexander; and dear son-in-law of the late Gertrude nee Williams and Jacob Levine. Born in Detroit on July 11, Don graduated from Mumford High School in 1954 and from Wayne State University with a BA in History. He also resided in Deerfield, Illinois and Parkland, Florida.
