Obituary

Leonard Seymour Herman, 97, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, died February 18, 2026. Beloved husband of 69 years of the late Ophelia Herman. Cherished father of Susan Herman, Dr. Jeffrey (Donean) Herman, and Bruce (Judy) Herman. Proud grandfather of Brian (Miranda) Ritter, Shannon (Fred) LaBarre, Stephanie (Daniel) Jenkins, Matthew Herman, Eliana Herman, and Natalie Herman. Adoring great-grandfather of Hudson Ritter, Chase and Brooklyn LaBarre, and Nora and Parker Jenkins. Loving brother of the late Gladys Brasch and the late Harold Herman. Dear brother-in-law of the late Lindi Herman, the late Louis Klein, the late Charles Brasch, and the late Lilyan (the late Tom) Cohn. Devoted son of the late Samuel and the late Sophie Herman. Also survived by special nephews and nieces, Dr. Steven (Diane) Klein and Elizabeth (Mark) Genetti, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Shiva will be held through Tuesday evening at the residence, 6300 Drakeshire Lane, West Bloomfield, MI 48322. Family and friends will be gathering on Friday following the interment until 5:00 p.m., on Sunday from 1:30-4:30 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m., and on Monday and Tuesday from 5:00-8:30 p.m.

Religious services will be held at 7:00 on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings.
