Obituary

Nathalie Zeff, 90, of West Bloomfield, Michigan died on November 11, 2025. Devoted wife of 63 years to the late Dr. David Zeff, cherished mother of Sheri (Philip) Cwagenberg, Shelly (Jordan) Schreier, Karen (Franklin) Rosen; loving grandmother of Jeffrey (Andrew), Dina; Alayna, Rebecca (Brad), Haley (Jack); Jennie, Seth; great-grandmother of Ari, passed away surrounded by her family. Her family and friends were the center of her life, and she took pride in making sure everyone had a seat at her table for holidays and a home-cooked meal.

A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Education, she was a dedicated and award-winning teacher with middle school, ESL, continuing and alternative education students. As a life-long learner and volunteer, she took classes, was a docent at Cranbrook, and attended the Temple Israel Saturday morning Torah Study. Following her husband’s passing, she created a new life for herself among friends, old and new, at All Seasons West Bloomfield where she loved refining and developing skills and talents-creating art, knitting, and playing mahjong, rummikub, and euchre - always with a smile.

She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and caring and compassionate nature. She lived a life of grace and dignity and will be deeply missed.

Shiva: Family and friends will be gathering on Sunday at Temple Israel, 5725 Walnut Lake Road in West Bloomfield from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Religious services will be held at 7:00 p.m.
