Joanne Smith PurtherJoanne Smith Purther, 94, of Franklin, Michigan, died on 26 August 2024. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Thursday, 29 August 2024 at 12:00 PM . The family of Joanne Smith Purther will be gathering through the evening of Friday, August 30 at the residence, 26420 Normandy, Franklin MI 48025. Family and friends will be gathering on Thursday from 4:00-8:30 p.m. and on Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Religious services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening. Family members include: Mrs. Purther is survived by her husband, Don, of 38 years; her daughter and son-in-law, Patty (Bruce) Moss; her sons and daughter-in-law, Ricky (Kate) Smith, Danny Smith, and Cathy Smith; her beloved brother Alan (Mary Kenny) Ginsburg; her dear grandchildren, Melissa Smith, Max Smith, Alex (Jessica) Moss, Josh (Talia) Smith, Jake (Jilli) Moss, Mallory (Josh Reich) Moss; her three shayna punim great-grandchildren, Zahava Daisy Smith, Lev Iley Moss, and Sadie Blake Moss, and her beloved grandson, the late Casey Milton Smith. She was the beloved wife of the late Milton Smith for 30 years. Mrs. Purther is also survived by her loyal and loving caregiver and dear friend, Mabel Asiimwe. Mrs. Purther is also survived by her extended Purther family: Don's children, Liz (Aaron) Sherbin, Tom (Jan) Purther, Tony (Julie) Purther, and Eric (Justine) Purther; Don's grandchildren, Katherine (Zach) Simon, Meredith Sherbin, Grace Sherbin, Payton, Greer, and Saige Purther, Zoe (Elias) DeWitt, Ethan, Avery, and Lila Purther, Amanda and Matthew Purther, the late Caroline Sherbin, and the late Zack Smith; and Don's great-grandchildren, Grant and Claire Simon, and Remi and Wesley DeWitt.
