Renee Martha Silverman
Renee Martha Silverman, 78, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, died on 24 July 2024. The Funeral was A PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICE on Friday, 26 July 2024. Rabbi Kasriel Shemtov officiated. Renee Martha Silverman was a devoted daughter, sister, and beloved aunt. She was born in Detroit on April 8th, 1946 to Daniel and Adline Silverman. Renee studied French in Marseilles in the 1960s, graduated from the University of Michigan, and received her M.A. from the University of Wisconsin. After school, she worked as the Press Secretary for the French consulate in Detroit, before moving to the automotive industry, where she worked for Renault/AMC, and then Chrysler for thirty years, before retiring in 2008. Renee was trilingual and had a passion for art and history. She was more than an aunt to her surviving nephews, Keith (Tristan) and Zachary (Rebecca), she truly was a second mother to them. She is survived by her nephews, and great-nephews, Liev and Elio Silverman. She was a very special lady, and much loved by her family and friends. Family and friends will be gathering on Sunday from 12:00-4:00 p.m. at the home of Zachary and Rebecca Silverman, 7119 Lindenmere Drive, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301.
