Lisa spent her life living every moment to the absolute fullest. She was a practicing attorney, and she often said being a lawyer wasn’t what she did, but rather what she was. After her first cancer diagnosis Lisa began to further her determination to live in the moment. Every cup of coffee was cherished and every wrong turn a new adventure. Lisa worked at Bath and Body Works for fun, for nearly 15 years because she believed in self care, and loved helping others find something to make them feel good. She loved getting out and being active and social. After moving to California Lisa got a job at Disneyland, her personal happy place. She loved watching and being a part of children’s happiness. Those who knew Lisa will comment on how strong she was. Despite being terminal in 2002, Lisa never stopped fighting. She pushed and fought to stay with her family through multiple diagnoses. In the final years she said ‘the cancer wasn’t strong enough to take her down itself so it resorted to cheating’ in reference to the hemiparesis she had, caused by the coma she sustained during a biopsy. Even then, she continued to fight. Lisa’s kindness touched everyone who met her. She had a way of looking at the world, to see the best in people, and bring it out in them. She welcomed everyone with open arms and always put others first. Lisa believed strongly in family first. She and her husband Barry were the personification of True Love. Their love and relationship inspired everyone around them. Their two daughters, and later granddaughter and son in law were Lisa’s joy in life. But her home would not be complete without her two dogs, Bailey and Gunji and her cat Happy. Whether they were taking trips to disney, or turning a cancer treatment trip into a full vacation, or just going to the Discovery store in the mall, Lisa knew how to make time with her family special. Beloved wife of 32 years to Barry Roffman, Cherished mother to Kristin (Chris) Seguin and Leah Roffman, and Proud Bubby of Makayla Mays. Loving Sister to Michelle Rosen, Nick Klar, and Paul Klar. Proud Aunt to Mearyl (Max) Roberts, Harrison (Jess) Diskin, and Gabby Rosen. Devoted daughter of the late Donna (the late David) Klar and the late Murry Olit, and beloved niece to Brenda Skolnick.
