Steven Loren Lovinger



Steven Loren Lovinger, 66, of Oak Park, Michigan, died after sunset on 22 July 2023.

The Funeral was held at Graveside at Adat Shalom Memorial Park, 28500 W 6 Mile Rd, Livonia MI 48152 on Tuesday, 25 July 2023 at 12:00 PM .

Rabbi Jennifer Kaluzny officiated.

The family of Steven Loren Lovinger will be gathering through the evening of Wednesday, July 26 at the residence of Beverly Becker, 13148 Borgman, Huntington Woods MI 48370.

Family and friends will be gathering following interment until 5:00 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. through 8:30 p.m. Religious services will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. and a "sharing stories about Steve session" will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

Family members include:
Loving and devoted partner Harriet Cohen Finn. Cherished cousins Beverly Becker and Jerry (Ilene Kaiser) Becker. Treasured son of the late Beatrice and Jack Lovinger. Also survived by special friends Linda and Brian Shear and numerous friends throughout the community.

Steve Lovinger tragically passed away suddenly from cardiac arrest on July 22, 2023. He was surrounded by the love of his life, Harriet Finn, and his dear cousins, Beverly and Jerry Becker. Steve was an adventurous man with many hobbies, including collectables and cultivation of plants. He was acknowledged as one of the first licensed medical marijuana caregivers in the state. He survived cancer with RSO, and became a well-known leader in the field of medical marijuana. He jumped out of airplanes, scuba dived around the world, and loved music. He shared these adventures with good friends and, lastly, a trip to Hawaii with Harriet. He was a kind, helpful, good man who will be missed by many devoted friends throughout the country.
