Mr. Elliot I. Beitner, 82, of Birmingham, MI, died on 17 November 2012. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Tuesday, 20 November 2012 at 1:00 PM . Rabbi Joseph Krakoff officiated. The family of Mr. Elliot I. Beitner will be gathering through the evening of Wednesday, November 21 at the residence of Elizabeth Blair and Michael Kelter, 466 Hanna, Birmingham MI 48009. The phone number is 248-642-2066. Religious services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday and Wednesday. Family members include: Beloved father of Marie "Mimi" Cooke, Katherine Beitner, Elizabeth Blair (Michael Kelter) and Selma Blair. Loving Grandfather of James Cooke, Nicholas Blair and Frances Blair and Arthur Bleick. Devoted son of the late Abraham and the late Esther Beitner.Dear brother of Cecile Naomi (Julius) Harwood. Also survived by loving companion Susan McParland, the mother of his children Molly Cooke and his niece and nephew Rochelle and Nathan Upfal, cousins and friends. He was an attorney, labor arbitrator and active in the Democratic party and many Jewish organizations. It is suggested that those who wish to further honor the memory of Mr. Elliot I.
